Leeds United warn off Doncaster Rovers over interest in Kilkenny

LEEDS United manager Simon Grayson has warned Doncaster Rovers that midfielder Neil Kilkenny is not for sale.

The Australian international, 23, is a target for the Championship club but Grayson insists that he still has an important role to play at Elland Road next season.

"It is true that Sean O'Driscoll (Rovers manager) rang me about Neil.

"Doncaster also enquired last January as well," said United manager Grayson.

"I was surprised to see it come out publicly.

"Neil is an important part of our team – he did well when he came into the side and I was pleased with him.

"He will be an important player for us next season as well and we want to keep our better players."
