Here's our Team of the Season

Barnsley, Leeds United and Sheffield United lead the way in our 2018/19 Team of the Season

IT'S that time again. The Yorkshire Post Team of the Season time, of course - drum roll please.

Here's our top line-up of the campaign in what has been a memorable 2018-19. A number of readers will beg to differ, for sure, but this is our take. Email yp.sport@jpimedia.co.ukwith your alternative suggestions. Line-up in a 3-4-3 formation.

Adam Davies (Barnsley).'A formidable last line of defence and produced a captain's knock to help Barnsley to a record number of points and clean sheets in a season.'Wonderfully consistent.

Michael Hector (Sheffield Wednesday).'Enjoyed a renaissance season at Hillsborough, far removed from his experiences at the KCOM Stadium and how Wednesdayites would love to see the Chelsea defender return for a second 'gig'.

Ethan Pinnock (Barnsley)'Imperious in the air, solid in the tackle, with a yard of pace and a formidable adversary, Pinnock comfortably cracked League One and was a 'shoo-in' for the PFA Team of the Year. The smart money is on the big Londoner going onto bigger and better things, hopefully with Barnsley.

Jack O'Connell (Sheffield United).'A cult hero down at the Lane and redoubtable on the field. As left-sided defenders go, O'Connell has few peers in the EFL. Assertive in his defensive duties, comfortable on the ball.
