THE season may yet to be completed but, given the enforced break due to the coronavirus pandemic, we thought we’d ask one Leeds United fan to give their verdict on the campaign so far.

Mick Druce, 58, from Bramley, has his say below. Scroll through and see if you agree, leaving your own thoughts in the comments section at the bottom.

How would you assess your season so far? It’s been like riding a roller-coaster, from the heights to the depths, sometimes in a single game. We have played some amazing football and scored some fantastic goals then shot ourselves in the foot. Overall it’s been a great time to be watching the Mighty Leeds and a season that will be talked about for years to come. Sublime passing and movement and goals that will be remembered forever, step forward Bill Ayling. It will only be in years to come when Marcelo Bielsa has left that we really appreciate what we are watching week in, week out.

Player of the season? Stuart Dallas, just for the fact that he has played in a number of positions and never let us down.

Most improved player? Jack Harrison has come back so much better, his summer of hard work in the USA has really paid off.

Best goal? Stuart Dallas away at Stoke City – great movement, a defence-splitting pass completed with a first-touch finish.

Which game have you enjoyed most? Leeds 3 Millwall 2. From the depths of despair to the heights of ecstasy – this why we love football.

Biggest disappointment? Leeds 3 Cardiff 3, from strolling the game at 3-0 up to finish 3-3 and holding on at that.

What mark would you give the manager out of ten? 9.5 as there is always room for improvement, 10 when we go up.

How important is it that we finish the season? Vital, and not just for Leeds United, everyone deserves to see their efforts and investments rewarded, be it by promotion, relegation or the winning of cups.

If the season gets started again, what is your hope for your team? To go up as champions and cement Marcelo Bielsa’s place as an all-time legend at the club alongside Revie and Wilko.

What needs to change for next season? Just the division. MOT.
