Adryan set to feature as Redfearn continues

For Neil Redfearn, placed in temporary charge following the dismissal of Dave Hockaday on August 28, this lunchtime’s game offers another opportunity to help out the club he has called home for the best part of five-and-a-half years.

Three points against Bolton a fortnight ago in the first game of his third spell as caretaker manager was a major boost for United and a repeat would do nicely in front of the cameras.

Redfearn said: “It is another game that I have been asked to take charge of.

“It is an important game for the club.

“We have had to put a team together and we have worked really hard in the international break. With regards to myself, the status quo is that it is as you were. I am looking after it for the president.

“I am looking after the side, there is no pressure with it. Massimo’s looking for a new head coach.

“I’m trying to help out and put the club in a position where it is better all round when that does happen. That’s how I am viewing it.”

Today will be the first chance for Leeds fans to see Adryan, the club’s new signing from Brazil, in the flesh after he came through a behind-closed-doors friendly on Monday.

Redfearn added: “Adryan had some of the game against Ipswich and found his feet. He gives us something different.”
