Body found in hunt for missing Leeds United fan
THE search for a missing Leeds United fan has been called off after the discovery of a man’s body
Essex Police had issued an appeal for help after Mark Barnes disappeared from his home in Southend on December 30.
Officers thought the long-term Whites fan may be in Leeds.
But the search ended after a man’s body was found in woods in Hockley village, between Southend and Chelmsford.
Essex Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious and Mr Barnes’ family had been informed.
