Boxing Day fast for Leeds fans

LEEDS UNITED fans will be without Boxing Day football this year after their game against Nottingham Forest was moved for TV broadcast, leaving the club with two games in two days as things stand.

The trip to the City Ground will now take place on Sunday, December 27 at 4.30pm and will be shown live on Sky

There is no word over what will happen to Leeds’ game against Derby County at Elland Road, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, December 28 (3pm kick-off ).

Leeds’ visit to Wolverhampton Wanderers has also been moved for Sky coverage, and will now take place on Thursday, December 17 – two days later than originally scheduled.

The Whites are then due to entertain Preston at Elland Road just two days later, on Saturday, December 19.

It is the second year in a row that both of those fixtures have been broadcast by Sky.

The game between Wolves and Leeds last season was a seven-goal thriller, with Wolves triumphing 4-3.

Leeds drew on their visit to Forest last season, with Billy Sharp scoring an equalising penalty.
