11.15pm: Hull City still waiting on N’Doye...

11pm: That’s it, the window is shut with Hull City trying to get a deal for Senegalese striker Dame N’Doye over the line. Tigers understood to have agreed £3m fee with Lokomotiv Moscow.

10.25pm: Paul Dixon has left Huddersfield Town and rejoined Dundee United on a deal until the end of 2017.

10.20pm: Rochdale boss Keith Hill on Matty Done departure to the Blades: “We turned down other bids [from Sheffield United] this month and I believe that I was pre-empting the possibility of this happening.

Which suggests a healthy transfer fee.

10.00pm: Done deal - Matty Done to Sheffield United. It’s been a long day but we’re still rolling ‘em out!!! Sheffield United have completed a deal for Rochdale’s former Barnsley winger Matty Done for an undisclosed fee.

9.26pm: Bradford City have moved late in the day, adding Blackpool’s Scottish centre-back Gary MacKenzie on loan.

9.25pm: Hull City involved on deadline day at last as Tom Ince seals his loan switch to Derby County. Ince joins the Championship team on a temporary deal until the end of the season.

9.21pm: A sign of just how quiet it is is that Rotherham United - the region’s busiest club - have declared their business over after missing out on two signings today.

8.28pm: Latest on Hull City’s move for Dame N’Doye is that Tigers boss Steve Bruce says the deal is still up in the air.

8.05pm: Signing - we’ve waited a while let’s be honest - Huddersfield Town have signed former Nottingham Forest and West Brom striker Ishmael Miller from Blackpool. Miller has joined on a short-term deal until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal beyond that.

7.50pm: Middlesbrough have sent defender Luke Williams to Coventry City on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

7.16pm: Things hotting up at the minute, Sheffield United are reported to have agreed a fee with Rochdale for prolific former Barnsley winger Matty Done.

7.10pm: Hull City might finally be making a move, but one that sees a player leaving the club, with Tom Ince en route to Derby County to thrash out a loan deal.

7.00pm: Huddersfield Town have agreed to terminate the contracts of Matt Crooks and Jordan Sinnott by mutual consent. Former Town trainee Crooks played once for Huddersfield at the start of the season and has since been on loan at Hartlepool and Accrington, while midfielder Sinnott, 20, also played once for the club this season and has been on loan at Bury.

6.35pm: Is this the end of business at Sheffield Wednesday, a fourth signing of the day - Lewis McGugan returns to the Owls on loan from Championship rivals Watford.

6.30pm: Looks like Hull’s bid for Tottenham’s Aaron Lennon is dead, but they are still hopeful of signing striker Dame N’Doye from Lokomotiv Moscow for a £3m fee. Tigers boss Steve Bruce has been in Paris all day trying to seal the deal.

6.19pm: According to Rotherham United, manager Steve Evans has confirmed that there will be no departures from his ‘main group’ before the 11pm deadline.

5.45pm: Confirmation that Sheffield Wednesday’s Caolan Lavery has joined League One side Chesterfield on a month’s loan.

5.30pm: Five and a half hours to go until the window closes - and my shift ends! - will Hull City get a move for 29-year-old striker Dame N’Doye from Lokomotiv Moscow?

5.27pm: Barnsley have extended the loan deal of Stoke forward George Waring until the end of the season. Is that the end of business for Reds boss Danny Wilson, or has he more moves to make?

5.20pm: Chesterfield are understood to be considering making a loan move for Sheffield Wednesday striker Caolan Lavery.

4.57pm: Things could be hotting up at Huddersfield Town, they’re being linked to striker Ishmael Miller at Blackpool.

4.48pm: Done deal - and a second of the day for Sheffield Wednesday as they complete the signing of Marnick Vermijl from Manchester United.

Vermilj, 23, is a Belgian right-back who has joined on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

4:43pm: Huddersfield winger Joe Lolley attracting interest from Scunthorpe United, managed by former Town chief Mark Robins with Oldham and Walsall also known admirers of the ex-Kidderminster man. Lolley has also attracted levels of Championship interest.

Meanwhile, Dundee United are in talks to re-sign Paul Dixon, with the defender travelling north of the border to speak with his former club.

On the incoming front, Town’s big priority is a forward, although they may yet have to wait until the emergency loan window re-opens as they await Premier League clubs finalising their squads.

3.53pm: Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray has revealed that deals are close for two players, with one a permanent deal and the other a loan move. Former Owls loanee Lewis McGugan, of Watford, is understood to be high on Gray’s radar.

3.42pm: Deal done - Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Albanian striker Edgar Cani on a loan deal until the end of the season from Serie B side Catania.

3.38pm: One-time Sheffield United and Rotherham United target Eoin Doyle is the subject of an agreed seven-figure deal, thought to be £750,000, between Cardiff City and his club Chesterfield.

3.30pm: Local lad if not a local team, Leeds-born Micah Richards – who is on loan from Manchester City to Fiorentina – is being linked with a move to Inter Milan, who are managed by his former City boss Roberto Mancini.

3.18pm: Rochdale midfielder Matty Done - formerly of Barnsley - is being linked with a move to Sheffield United, according to reports. Done, 26, has scored 14 goals for ‘Dale this season.

3.05pm: Dundee United are closing ijn on the signing of Huddersfield Town left-back Paul Dixon, 28, who left Tannadice to join the Terriers in 2012.

2:37pm: Sheffield United goalkeeper George Long joins SPL side Motherwell on loan for the rest of the season.

2:12pm: Reports that Huddersfield Town full-back Paul Dixon is to return to Dundee United.

2:11pm: Cardiff have agreed a fee for Sheffield United target Eoin Doyle, rumoured to be £750,000 - en route to South Wales for talks. The Chesterfield striker had also been linked with Rotherham, but parachute money talks.

2.00pm: Stoke City have joined the race for long-time Hull City target Aaron Lennon, who is available for loan from Tottenham Hotspur. Leicester City are also interested in the Leeds-born former England winger, who was thought to be ready to move to Steve Bruce’s Tigers.

1.56pm: Leeds United have issued a statement saying Wigan Athletic target Rodolph Austin is not for sale.

The statement reads: “Chairman Andrew Umbers and club can confirm that midfielder Rodolph Austin is not for sale and will remain a Leeds United player beyond Monday’s 11pm transfer deadline. There has been significant interest in the player and media reports over the weekend and on Monday had suggested that the club had agreed a deal for Rudy to exit Leeds United, but this is not the case. Rudy remains a vital part of Neil Redfearn’s squad and will play a major part for Leeds United in the remaining 18 Sky Bet Championship matches and beyond. The midfielder has expressed a desire to remain at the club and help head coach Neil Redfearn make the season as successful as possible. The club are delighted that Rudy wishes to remain part of the club and the midfielder reported to Thorp Arch and trained with his team-mates as normal on Monday morning.”

1.29pm: Another snub for Hull City as there are reports that Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert is set to stay at Anfield despite interest from the Tigers and their Premier League rivals West Brom.

1.23pm: Sheffield Wednesday, with this new Thai consortium behind them, are reportedly interested in Manchester United full-back Marnick Vermijl.

1.20pm: YP football writer Leon Wobschall tweets: “Millwall due in at Elland Road on Saturday week, but suspect it would be highly unlikely that Tonge will be eligible to play #lufc”

12.43pm: An apparent u-turn in the Michael Tonge situation as his move from Leeds United to Milwall could now ‘potentially’ happen. But a no-go to Bradford.

12.36pm: Sky sources reporting that Leeds United’s loan signing of Edgar Cani from Catania is complete.

12.24pm: It could be worth noting that Jason Pearce did not train with Leeds United on Thursday - the day before he signed for Wigan. Austin did train with the club today. Make of that what you will.

12.14pm: It emerges that Rudy Austin trained with Leeds United this morning, adding credence to the belief that he is staying put at Elland Road, and not heading for Wigan.

12.09pm: In readiness for his likely arrival at Leeds United, striker Edgar Cani is six-foot-four and 25 years old. His Soccerbase page does not reveal much but he was pretty prolific in two years at Polonia Warsaw between August 2011 and January 2013, from where he joined Catania. At Polonia, the Albanian netted 11 goals from 14 starts and 16 appearances as a sub.

11.53am: Further confirmation from Italian sources that Albanian striker Edgar Cani is expected to sign for Leeds United today, on a half-season loan from Catania.

11.37am: Sounds as if any successful move from Bradford City for Leeds United’s Michael Tonge has a bit of a way to go yet.

11.22am: The calm after the storm with Leeds United’s Rudy Austin, or is it the calm before the storm? Leeds deny any move, Wigan media sources say no deal done so Sky confirmation of a deal is at this stage a red herring.

11.21am: Sheffield United are focusing their efforts on signing a striker. The Blades are believed to be locked in talks to sign Chesterfield hotshot Eoin Doyle.

11.15am: Barnsley boss Danny Wilson confirms he is hoping to extend the loans of trio Ben Pearson, George Waring and Alex Kiwomya. Calls have been made to their parent clubs and the Tykes are awaiting a response. Regarding the Tom Pope deal, Wilson says that as it stands it is looking highly doubtful. Wilson on Pope: “I don’t think it’s realistic at all after the weekend. I think we may have run its course.”

11.14am: Hull City are reportedly keen on Wigan Athletic midfielder Chris McCann, as are Aston Villa.

11.07am: New Owls recruit Bus is 22-years-old, five-foot-eleven and capped for Romania under-21s.

10.58am: DEAL DONE. Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of CSKA Sofia striker Sergiu Bus on a three and a half year contract.

10.53am: Sources at Leeds United are strongly playing down reports that midfielder Rudy Austin has been sold to Wigan Athletic. As it stands, no deal has been done with 12 hours to go before the deadline.

10.48am: Media sources in Wigan say no deal done with Leeds United’s Rudy Austin. A lot of people at Elland Road are in the dark about whether he’s joining the Latics. Leeds turned down a bid of £500,000 from Wigan last week and it’s no secret that head coach Neil Redfearn wants to keep him. Speaking after Saturday’s win over Huddersfield, Redfearn said: “He’s important to us. He typifies this resurgence with his pace, his power and his competitive edge.”

10.38am: Still no confirmation, or otherwise, about Austin’s move from Leeds to Wigan. But Martyn Woolford’s proposed switch to Elland Road from Millwall now looks unlikely. Millwall have injuries in his position and Leeds seem to have gone cold on the deal.

10.20am: Aaron Lennon is reportedly weighing up his options as regards a loan move to Hull City. The Tigers are also thought to be chasing Lokomotiv Moscow striker Dame N’Doye.

10.17am: Panic stations as a fake Wigan Athletic account confirms the club have signed Rudy Austin from Leeds United for an ‘undisclosed fee’. That proves a false alarm, for now at least. Sky still saying he has signed, according to their sources.

10.04am: Talk from Hull City that the loan move for Tottenham’s Aaron Lennon is looking doubtful.

10am: Sky are reporting that Leeds United’s Rudy Austin has signed for Wigan. No official confirmation.

9.38am: Remember this is what Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn said at Thursday’s pre-Huddersfield Town press conference; Redfearn: “Obviously I want to try and keep our better players and for me these are the sort of players that are going to benefit us for years to come.

“We’ve got a young squad and the good seniors we need to keep.

“Rudy has been in the side and, for me, he is not for sale, at all costs.

“We want to try and keep Rudy because you look at your Cooks and your Taylors and your Byrams and your Mowatts and you need your Rudy Austins in there to give them that lift and give them that experience.

9.36am: Matters at Leeds seem to concern striker Edgar Cani who is expected to sign on a half-season loan from Catania. The Whites have also been linked with moves for Millwall winger Martyn Woolford - with Michael Tonge perhaps going the other way - as well as Huddersfield Town forward Joe Lolley.

United’s Rudy Austin continues to be linked with a move to Wigan with Ipswich Town known to have been interested in Billy Sharp.

9.29am: Bradford City are thought to be interested in Leeds United’s Michael Tonge - who was rumoured to be Millwall-bound as part of a Martyn Woolford swap deal.

9.26am: Nothing new at FC Halifax Town either, who signed striker Jack Muldoon from local neighbours Rochdale on loan until the end of the season at the weekend.

9.15am: The transfer rumour mill has been quiet concerning both Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers. Ditto York City whose manager Russ Wilcox says he is “not desperate” to do anything transfer wise.

9.11am: Barnsley’s main target is Port Vale’s six-foot-three forward Tom Pope. The club have also been linked with Blackburn Rovers attacking midfielder John O’Sullivan.

8.57am: Rotherham United boss Steve Evans said at the weekend he was chasing two players, one attack minded and one defence minded. There’s also likely to be interest in Millers ace Ben Pringle who is out of contract at the end of the season.

8.51am: With Middlesbrough flying high in the Championship, the main concern at the Riverside seems to be about holding on to key assets Lee Tomlin and George Friend. West Brom were thought to be interested in Tomlin with Crystal Palace looking at Friend.

8.44am: Huddersfield Town’s main concern would appear to be recruiting a new striker with Nahki Wells having left the ground on crutches against Leeds on Saturday.

8.39am: Chesterfield forward Eoin Doyle is the main name linked with a move to Sheffield United. Rotherham United are also thought to be chasing the highly rated 26-year-old.

8.28am: Sheffield Wednesday could be the busiest club in Yorkshire today with the Owls linked with a host of names amidst their takeover. The strongest links are with young Manchester United defender Marnick Vermijl and Carlisle midfielder Kyle Dempsey who Bolton are also thought to be interested in. Leicester City striker Chris Wood has also been linked with the Owls.
