Goalie Taylor staying on at Leeds

LEEDS have signed veteran goalkeeper Maik Taylor on a deal until the end of the season.

The 40-year-old arrived at Elland Road on a short-term contract in November and has now committed his future for the rest of the current campaign.

Taylor, a former Northern Ireland international, has yet to feature for Simon Grayson’s side.

Grayson told the club’s official website: “Maik has got good experience to be in and around the squad and obviously if anything happens to Andy Lonergan, Maik can step in.”

Taylor’s initial deal was due to expire after Leeds’ home match with Ipswich on January 21.
