Blades are six points adrift of safety with two games left.

With Preston relegated, the final two relegation spots are between Blades, Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Crystal Palace.

To survive, the Blades must WIN both their remaining fixtures (against Barnsley and Swansea City) and hope either Doncaster or Crystal Palace LOSE their final two games AND by enough goals to wipe out the Blades’ inferior goal difference.

Blades are on -21 goals, Doncaster -13 and Palace -12.

Scunthorpe can also survive but must WIN two games (against Nottingham Forest and Portsmouth) and also complete an even bigger ‘swing’ of goal difference.

Both Doncaster and Crystal Palace require ONE point to guarantee their own survival.
