Leeds confirm offers for Ross McCormack

The future of the Scot, last season’s top-scorer with 19 goals, is up in the air after he turned down a new deal in May.

McCormack is entering the final year of his Elland Road contract and rather than see him leave for nothing in 12 months, United are expected to cash in on the former Cardiff City star and sell him.

Huddersfield Town and Crystal Palace are keen to sign McCormack, while Bristol City are also weighing up a move.

But Warnock insists he is no rush to sell the forward and will only do business on his terms.

He said: “There’s been three or four enquiries for Ross from clubs and they are all keen to sign him.

“I’m going to try and do what’s best for the club, but until something happens where I think the club benefits, at the moment Ross is training with us. And he understands the situation.”

Warnock has also fielded calls from other clubs regarding several of his transfer-listed players, while also confirming that he has turned down an offer from a Championship club - thought to be from Bolton Wanderers - for keeper Andy Lonergan.
