Leeds United make Pugh deal permanent

Leeds United have completed the signing of Danny Pugh from Stoke for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old has been on loan from the Potters this season, impressing enough to convince manager Simon Grayson to make the deal permanent.

Pugh originally signed for Leeds in 2004 from Manchester United and will be hoping to take the club into the Barclays Premier League after signing a two-and-a-half-year contract.

“Danny is a versatile player and is a good addition to the squad,” said Grayson.

“He can play a few positions, he has already shown people what he is about, and it’s good to have him on a permanent basis.”

Pugh has made 17 appearances for Leeds this season as they look to return to the top-flight for the first time since 2004.
