With Leeds in the midst of a run of three matches in seven days ahead of the forthcoming international break, the newly-appointed head coach is considering changes to freshen up his side.

He has confirmed that Liam Cooper will start in place of the suspended Jason Pearce and says that young playmaker Adryan, not involved in Saturday’s clash at Cardiff due to a slight groin strain, has a chance of returning to action against the Addicks.

Billy Sharp will again miss out, with Rudy Austin also sidelined.

On the prospect of making changes to reinvigourate his side, he said: “That has got to come into my thinking. It was a tough game on Saturday.

“We got half of it right at half-time, but we might have to think about what we are going to do in the next couple of games. We are at home and want to make the running in these games and that has got to come into my thinking in terms of which side I put out.

“Obviously Liam Cooper will come in for Pearce. He has been really patient and worked really hard. The good thing is we arranged a game last week against Burnley behind clsoed doors, so he has had ninety minutes, which is great. He is ready and has his opportunity.

“Adryan has got a chance. We are monitoring Sharpy as he is going along this week and he is coming along better than what we thought.

“So I am hoping fingers crossed, it might be Saturday perhaps.

“We have one or two out and we have to deal with it and overcome it. It gives an opportinity to someone else to go and make a claim for a spot.
