Leeds United sign Webber as Bolton defender appears on radar

Neil Warnock has made his first signing as Leeds United manager, bringing Danny Webber into Elland Road on a deal until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old former Sheffield United striker has been a free agent since his deal at Portsmouth expired last summer.

He is due to play in Leeds’s behind-closed-doors friendly with Middlesbrough today.

Warnock said: “I know the player well and he’ll be good to have around the place.”

Left-back Robinson, 33, has played in the Premier League for much of his career but has fallen out of favour at the Reebok Stadium and could become available on a loan deal.

Warnock is also keen to bring Matt Mills to Elland Road.

The former Doncaster Rovers central defender cost Leicester City £5m from Reading last summer but has fallen down the pecking order since Nigel Pearson succeeded Sven Goran Eriksson at the Foxes.
