Leeds United suffer Kisnorbo blow

Leeds United defender Paddy Kisnorbo has been ruled out for the season.

Simon Grayson confirmed the news at his pre-match press conference ahead of Leeds United’s trip to Arsenal.

Kisnorbo picked up a knee injury in the win over Burnley on January 2. The 30-year-old fell awkwardly during the opening 20 minutes at Elland Road.

The news is another blow for the Australian, who suffered an Achilles injury in March 2010 which sidelined him for 14 months.

Grayson told the club’s website: “We’ve had the unfortunate news that Paddy has suffered ligament damage and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

“It’s a big blow for the club but more so for Paddy after the long-term injury he has just recovered from.”
