Hull City were the big winners in the Championship as the Tigers beat rivals Leeds United - while Huddersfield Town and Sheffield Wednesday were locked in a 0-0 stalemate.

Barnsley are bottom of the Championship after a 3-1 home loss to strugglers Blackburn Rovers.

In League One, Sheffield United suffered a shock defeat to rock bottom Hartlepool - losing top spot and their unbeaten record. Doncaster Rovers are now joint second with United after winning away at Preston.

In League Two, Rotherham United netted four in beating Accrington Stanley, but Bradford City shipped four in defeat to Rochdale. York were held 0-0 by Fleetwood.

Steve Howard (7) headed visitors in front, before Michael Doyle (31) equalised. Ritchie Humphreys (54) restored Hartlepool’s advantage before Howard (72) added a third. Harry Maguire added a late consolation for the Blades.

Goals from Terry Gornell (6, 40), Ashley Grimes (33) and Andrew Tutte (27) gave the visitors a 4-2 victory at Valley Parade, with Alan Connell (19, 36) pulling two goals back from the penalty spot.
