In League One, Huddersfield kept up their promotion bid as Jordan Rhodes gave them a 1-0 win at Bristol Rovers but there was more disappointment for Sheffield Wednesday as they went down 1-0 at home to Notts County.

Rotherham missed the chance to close the gap on the automatic promotion hunters in League Two with a 0-0 draw at home to Bury, but Peter Jackson’s revival at Bradford gathered pace as they beat Morecambe 1-0.

York beat Eastbourne Borough 1-0 thanks to a goal from Michael Rankine.
