Team news: Mohamed Diame is out but may return against Rochdale on Tuesday to leave only Robert Snodgrass on City’s long-term list of absentees. Nikica Jelavic will be pushing for a start after being rested against Fulham but Sone Aluko also has a strong claim after netting the winner. Charlton have doubts over the fitness of Chris Solly (ankle) and Tony Watt (calf) ahead of the clash. Reza Ghoochannejhad faces a month on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury and fellow forward Igor Vetokele is not yet ready to return following a muscle problem.

Fulham v Huddersfield Town

Fulham will assess the fitness of goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli and striker Matt Smith, who both suffered knee ligament damage in a collision at Hull. Luke Garbutt (ankle), George Williams (cruciate ligament) and Fernando Amorebieta (knee) are still unavailable while defender Jack Grimmer (ankle) has undergone surgery, but Tim Ream is free to play after signing from Bolton on Thursday.

Team news: Striker David Nugent could be handed his full home debut. Central defender Jonathan Woodgate is available again for the Teessiders. Bristol City striker Kieran Agard could make his first start of the season after a goalscoring cameo appearance in midweek. Midfielder Luke Freeman serves the second game of a three-match ban and goalkeeper Frank Fielding (shoulder) is out. Mark Little has rejoined squad after a shoulder injury.

QPR v Rotherham United

Team news: Danny Ward returns to the Millers squad after a foot injury but Joe Mattock (tight quad muscle), Joe Newell (knock) and Lee Frecklington (groin) are all doubts. Alex Smithies will be in the Rangers squad for the first time following his near £2m move from Huddersfiel. Winger Jamie Mackie is a doubt with groin trouble and midfielder Ale Faurlin is likely to be rested after making his first start in almost a year in the midweek win at Wolves.

Port Vale v Doncaster

Team news: Paul Keegan, Nathan Tyson and Dany N’Guessan are all out through injury but Rob Jones has a chance of returning after sitting out the last two games, meaning gary MacKenzie may drop out of the starting XI.

Opposition key man - Mark Cullen: He is familiar to Yorkshire fans after spells at Hull City and Bradford City. Summer signing at Blackpool, Cullen has netted two of their three goals scored in four matches this season.

Talking point: The last time Blackpool played at Bramall Lane, they ended up being promoted to the Premier League just a few weeks later. A far cry for the troubled Lancashire club after relegation from the Championship last season. They go into today’s game with just a solitary league point after three games and a League Cup exit at the hands of Northampton Town.

Exeter v York City

Team news: Luke Summerfield is in line for a possible return after missing the midweek win over Yeovil. Michael Coulson could return within a month after undergoing surgery on a groin injury. Emile Sinclair has come through a development game, his first action since suffering a thigh problem in March.
