Team news: The Reds remain decimated by injury, with just 12 senior players training this week. Still out are David Perkins, Mido, Toni Silva, Matt Done, Luke Steele, Jim McNulty, Jim O’Brien, Rob Edwards, Paul Digby and Rueben Noble-Lazarus.

Crystal Palace v Sheffield Wednesday

Team news: Owls welcome back Reda Johnson (ankle), Jermaine Johnson (toe) and Chris O’Grady (foot) after the trio missed the midweek League Cup win over Fulham. Also back in contention is full-back Joe Mattock (knee).

Hull City v Bolton Wanderers

Team news: Paul McShane is available after missing the cup game at Doncaster with concussion. Tom Cairney, who suffered a serious-looking knee injury, is out. Matty Fryatt is two weeks away from a return, while Paul McKenna serves the first of a three-match ban.

Ipswich Town v Huddersfield Town

Team news: Lee Novak and Alan Lee are vying to step into the shoes of Jordan Rhodes at Portsmouth. Sean Scannell (hamstring) is out.

Leeds United v Blackburn Rovers

Team news: Boss Neil Warnock will assess the fitness of midfielder before deciding on his line-up. Fellow summer signing Paul Green remains sidelined with a knee injury, with Davide Somma and Leigh Bromby on the long-term injured list.

League One

Sheffield United v Bournemouth

Team news: New Blades player-coach Richard Cresswell is back in contention to start for the Blades, alongside youngsters John Cofie, Shaun Miller and Nick Blackman. Striker Chris Porter however faces 10 days on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Yeovil Town v Doncaster Rovers

Team news: Chris Brown, Martin Woods and Kyle Bennett, who missed the dramatic Capital One Cup win over Hull in midweek with knocks, are expected to return for the trip to Huish Park. Shelton Martis is still out.

League Two

Rotherham United v Bradford City

Team news: Fit-again Johnny Mullins is back in the fray for the Millers, along with Michael O’Connor. Dale Tonge and Nicky Hunt returned to training on Thursday, but aren’t ey ready for a first-team return, with the former set to go out on loan for some match fitness. Nakhi Wells and Andrew Davies are doubts for City after missing the Capital One Cup win at Watford.

York City v Oxford United

Team news: Chris Doig, who injured his hamstring against Barnet joins Jamie Reed (hamstring) and Oli Johnson (groin) on the sidelines. David McGurk is still building up his fitness, with Scott Kerr on the long-term injured list.
