Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City

Team news: Jake Livermore is unable to play under terms of his summer loan switch to Hull from Tottenham Hotspur. Steve Harper will be in goal after first-choice Allan McGregor was ruled out for six weeks with a thigh injury. Sone Aluko (calf) is also out.

Barnsley v Sheffield Wednesday

Team news: Barnsley’s Lewin Nyatanga (knee) has boosted his fitness on the training ground this week, but is still not ready for a first-team return with boss David Flitcroft trying to arrange games to increase his match-fitness levels next week. Peter Ramage and Luke Steele (back) remain sidelined with Paddy McCourt fit despite coming off against Middlesbrough last week following his stunning goal.
The Owls are without Jose Semedo, the midfielder starts a three-match suspension for his red card at Bolton last weekend. Roger Johnson missed training with an illness, but should feature.

Team news: James Vaughan is the big absentee for Town as the club’s top scorer starts a three-game ban following his red card at Leicester City a week ago for violent conduct. Martin Paterson seems the most likely to deputise, though Jon Stead is also an option. For Leeds, Dexter Blackstock goes straight into the squad following his loan arrival from Nottingham Forest.

League Two

Bradford City v Wolves

Team news: Nahki Wells has trained all week so manager Phil Parkinson has a big decision to make over whether to throw his nine-goal top scorer back into the fray after four games out with an ankle injury.

Leyton Orient v Rotherham United

Team news: Lee Frecklington and Michael O’Connor return from suspension, with Icelandic international Kari Arnason expected to return from illness. David Worrall and Claude Davis are still out. 11-goal Orient top-scorer Kevin Lisbie is rated 50/50.

Sheffield United v Crewe Alexandra

Team news: Former Oldham Athletic striker Jose Baxter is new manager Nigel Clough’s biggest concern with a thigh injury. Conor Coady and Simon Lappin will be hoping to keep their places after starting at Peterborough in midweek.

York City v Fleetwood Town
