Leeds captain and Sheffield United duo named in Scotland squad

LEEDS UNITED captain Liam Cooper and Sheffield United duo John Fleck and Oli McBurnie have been named in Scotland's squad for their internationals against Israel and the Czech Republic early next month.

Sheffield Wednesday full-back Liam Palmer has also been picked in the squad.

Steve Clarke's side entertain Israel in Glasgow in the Uefa Nations League on Friday, September 4 and make the trip to face the Czechs in Olomouc on Monday, September 7.

Leeds utility man Stuart Dallas, Middlesbrough pair George Saville and Paddy McNair and Hull City forward Josh Magennis are in the Northern Ireland squad for their forthcoming games in Romania (September 4) and at home to Norway three days later when Ian Baraclough's side begin their Nations League campaign.

Sheffield United quartet John Egan, Enda Stevens, Callum Robinson and David McGoldrick have also received call-ups from Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny in his first 23-man squad.

Ireland face Bulgaria in Sofia on Thursday, September 3 and host Finland three days later in Dublin in the Nations League.

McGoldrick will only be considered for the game against Finland following his recovery from a foot injury.

Leeds forward Tyler Roberts is in Wales' 26-man squad for the Nations League games in Finland on September 3 and at home to Bulgaria in Cardiff three days later.
