Leeds United sign Jack Harrison for third loan spell

Jack Harrison has rejoined Leeds United for a third season-long loan, with a view to a permanent move next summer.

As expected, the 23-year-old has extended his stay from Manchester City.

The winger featured in every Championship match last season, starting all but one. He scored six league goals last season - taking his Elland Road tally to 10 - and made eight more. In all he has made 91 appearances for the Whites.

The England Under-21 international has also played youth football for Manchester United and Liverpool. He went to college in the USA and spent time with New York City, part of the group of clubs headed by his parent club.

He also spent time on loan at Middlesbrough in 2018.

Harrison let slip last week he would be back at Elland Road for a third season, so his signing is no surprise. He has joined on another season-long loan, but Leeds have the option of making this on permanent, as they already have with Helder Costa and Illan Meslier.

Leeds paid £16m for winger Costa, who was on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers last season, and £5m to keep goalkeeper Meslier, who was borrowed from Lorient.

Editor’s note: first and foremost - and rarely have I written down these words with more sincerity - I hope this finds you well.
