Leeds United urged to sign £15m-rated exciting midfielder, Barnsley battle for third-tier sensation

Leeds United are back in Premier League action next week, when they take on Steve Bruce's struggling Newcastle United on Tuesday evening, in a game which should provide an ideal opportunity for the Whites to pick up a win on the road.

A win for the Whites next week would see them continue to keep distance between themselves and the relegation zone, as the competition reaches the midway point.

Meanwhile, a number of Yorkshire's second-tier sides are in FA Cup action this weekend, with Barnsley taking on divisional rivals Norwich City - a side they've only managed to beat once in their last sixteen encounters.Elsewhere, Sheffield United are hosting Plymouth Argyle, and Sheffield Wednesday taking on Premier League side Everton at Goodison Park.Meanwhile, the January transfer window, there's plenty of talk regarding new signings, and we've already seen a few deals go through in the second-tier, with Huddersfield Town, Barnsley and Cardiff City among the busiest club thus far. Here's our latest rundown of all the news and transfer speculation involving Leeds United, Barnsley, and a number of other Yorkshire sides:
