Meslier: Kept very busy in the first half and made some important saves. Had to be alert with Leeds vulnerable from set-pieces especially. Nearly caught out by Rodriguez after his poor clearance on the restart. 8

Ayling: Overcame an early injury scare and bombed forward with trademark intent. Some nice contributions offensively. 7

Koch: Hectic time of it with Everton posing plenty of threats. 7

Cooper: Caught out for a great early chance for Doucoure and found it hard going at times. 6

Alioski: Lots of energy and endeavour and worked tirelessly for the team. Somehow missed a glorious late chance. 6

Phillips: Performed well and had the better of it against Allan and Doucoure. Some of his crossfield passing was a delight. 8

Raphinha: A real livewire and was bang at it, especially in the first half, but his best was to come.

Denied a maiden Leeds goal by a brilliant Pickford save - before making the breakthrough late in with an inch-perfect drive.

Looks a serious talent. Skilful and lightning fast. Easy to see why United wanted him so much. 9

Klich: Not far away with a curler towards the end of the half and was an influence again. Also fired a presentable second half chance over. By his high standards, would have been expecting to find the net. 7

Dallas: Entrusted with looking after Rodriguez and showed trademark commitment and discipline. 7

Harrison: Could easily have had a first-half hat-trick. Spurned a golden early chance and then saw an effort cleared off the line and then headed against the post. Posed plenty of issues for Everton. 7

Bamford: Posed lots of problems for Everton's defence, but lacked killer instinct in front of goal. Squandered a couple of great first half chances and off target also on the restart. When he finally did score, the offside flag stopped any celebrations. Frustrating. 6

Substitutes: Poveda (Raphinha 84), 6; Costa (Harrison 89), Rodrigo (Bamford 90).

Not used: Casilla, Roberts, Struijk, Davis.

Everton: Pickford; Godfrey, Holgate (Bernard 82), Keane; Davies (Delph 61), Doucoure, Richarlison, Iwobi (Gomes 67); Rodriguez, Calvert Lewin. Substitutes unused: Lossl, Sigurdsson, Mina, Tosun.
