Leicester City v Doncaster Rovers: Heffernan back in Bristol after loan departure

DONCASTER Rovers striker Paul Heffernan has joined League One side Bristol Rovers on a month's loan.

Heffernan, who has also played for Bristol City, has failed to command a regular place in the Doncaster side this season and spent a month on loan at Oldham Athletic.

Doncaster visit sixth-placed Leicester tonight seeking to end the run of four consecutive defeats that has dragged them back into the bottom eight of the Championship table.

The Foxes will be boosted by the return of midfielder Richie Wellens after suspension.

Defender Byron Webster is unlikely to play again this season for Rovers after suffering a broken metatarsal in training.

Former Leeds youngster Webster had only just returned to action after three months out with an elbow injury.

Manager Sean O'Driscoll is still without the services of centre-backs Adam Lockwood (foot) and Jason Shackell (groin).
