The Terriers go into the clash three points behind their visitors, having lost to Bristol City in midweek.

Carlos Corberan’s men were sunk by a pair of late goals against the Robins, despite taking the lead just before half-time.

For their part, the Hatters continued their fine start to the campaign with a 1-0 win over Rotherham United, courtesy of a 70th minute James Collins strike.

That result allowed them to remain within one-point of the play-off places after picking up five wins and a draw from their opening ten matches.

And Prutton has backed them to continue their eye-catching form with another win at the weekend.

Writing for Sky Sports, the pundit predicted a 1-0 win for Nathan Jones’ side.

The Terriers have struggled against Luton in recent times, and haven’t beaten the Hatters since 2008.

The two teams finished level on points last term, but Huddersfield recorded a superior goal difference, despite losing both Championship meetings between the pair.

Goals from James Collins and Andrew Shinnie were enough to cancel out a Karlan Grant opener in August of last year, with Sonny Bradley and Elliot Lee combining in the reverse fixture in July to hand Luton a 2-0 win.

Huddersfield have picked up two wins and three losses in their last five Championship outings, while the Hatters have fared marginally better, registering two wins, two losses, and a draw.
