Huddersfield Town have thrashed Brentford 4-0 to maintain their long unbeaten run in League One.

Lee Clark’s men have now gone 36 matches unbeaten in the league, and have not been beaten on their travels for 19 matches.

They scored three goals in six second-half minutes to seal the win at Griffin Park.

Jordan Rhodes scored his 50th goal for Town to give Clark’s men the lead at Uwe Rosler’s side, nine minutes from the break.

Tommy Miller crossed for Rhodes who powered a header home.

And Town doubled the lead on 70 minutes when Lee Novak found the net to move Huddersfield closer to the points.

Rhodes sealed the three points with his second goal on 76 minutes.

But they were not finished there, Gary Roberts making it 4-0 in the 78th minute, with the Terriers third goal in six minutes.

“We were outstanding,” said manager Clark.

“That sort of performance is what I’ve been asking of the players.

“We showed we were a good team today in every aspect of our play.

“When we got into the game we caused them a lot of problems - Gary Roberts’ delivery today was fantastic.”
