Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United were the only Yorkshire winners on Saturday as Hull City's hopes of staying in the Premier League took a beating.

The Tigers twice led doomed Portsmouth, but eventually fell to a 3-2 defeat at Fratton Park.

In the Championship, play-off hopefuls Sheffield and Doncaster Rovers cancelled each other out in a 1-1 draw, Sheffield Wednesday were held 0-0 by Derby County, while Barnsley lost 1-0 at Ipswich.

Huddersfield Town gave their League One play-off hopes a boost with a win at Leyton Orient, while Rotherham did the same in League Two, edging out Bury.

Bradford City crashed to defeat at lowly Hereford, while York City's game in Blue Square Premier was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Recalled Caleb Folan broke the Fratton Park stalemate on 27 minutes, but Smith equalised 10 minutes later. Folan netted on 73 minutes to put the Tigers back in front, before Jamie O'Hara equalised and Kanu grabbed an 89th minute winner.
