The visitors led through Marvin Johnson and missed a host of opportunities to take further control in the opening half hour.

Town punished Boro's lack of cutting edge, with goals from Carel Eiting and Fraizer Campbell giving them a 2-1 lead going into half time.

Britt Assombalonga hit back for Warnock's side from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute but Huddersfield responded instantly through Josh Koroma to claim the victory.

"It’s another disappointment, I don’t know how we’ve not won the game. It’s a lesson, we’ve got to take chances when they come," said Warnock.

"We should have had three or four more. We feel a bit aggrieved.

"It’s difficult to be angry because we haven’t done a lot wrong. There are one or two errors but the players don’t mean to make them.

"It is what it is now, we have six more games until we get a breather. We have to recover and get on with it."

Warnock also felt his side should have been awarded a second penalty deep into stoppage time.

"We should have another penalty with Britt," added Warnock.

"The referee said it was a coming together. That is twice we have had that ref in 13 games, I don't think we should have him again for a bit."
