A last-gasp Lewin Nyatanga header earned the Reds the spoils in a see-saw game - to make it back-to-back wins for the Oakwell outfit.

Fred Onyedinma put the hosts ahead, only for Sam Winnall to turn in Marley Watkins’s cross to level for the visitors before the interval.

Alfie Mawson’s super volley put the Reds in front on the restart, only for Onyedinma to fire his second to make it 2-2 - but Nyatanga had the final word.

Johnson, whose side welcome Bradford City in a Yorkshire derby on Saturday, said: “I am absolutely delighted because I thought it was a fantastic performance.

“Even if we’d come in at two-all, I’d have been delighted with the players because we looked a class apart, we really did.

Millwall are big and strong and are going to get balls into the box and the front two are obviously dangerous with a higher pedigree.

“But on the break, we looked slick, kept the ball and passed and moved very quickly and had chance and looked rapid on the break.

“We are getting there and I was well chuffed with the performance because the young players came to the Den, which is a difficult place to play and were not intimidated from playing their football.

“I was very proud of my players.”
