Here is the latest transfer gossip involving Yorkshire's clubs.

PREMIER League new boys Middlesbrough and Hull City are upping the ante in their transfer activity with Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj the new name on Boro’s radar.

Gaston Ramirez and Alvaro Negredo look like becoming Boro’s seventh and eighth signings of the summer respectively with Ramirez’s work permit having being rubberstamped over the weekend.

The Uruguayan playmaker and former Southampton ace was then able to join up with his new Boro team mates in time to fly to Marbella for this week’s pre-season training camp.

A deal for Valencia striker Negredo also looks imminent with the Teessiders reportedly reaching an agreement to sign the ex-Manchester City forward on a season-long loan.

Boro will reportedly have a £9m option to make the deal permanent next summer after the 30-year-old lowered his £100,000-a-week wage demands to pave the way for a return to the Premier League.

A move for Borussia Dortmund centre-back Neven Subotic also looks likely and now Boro are also chasing Manchester United winger Januzaj.

The 21-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan at Borsussia Dortmund but new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho could be prepared to give the wide man a lifeline after he impressed in pre-season training.

Preston North End, meanwhile, are stepping up their interest to bring back Boro wide man Adam Reach on loan but the Deepdale outfit face competition from Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves.

And back in the Premier League, Hull look poised to make Wales’ Euro 2016 star Hal Robson-Kanu their first signing of the summer with the 27-year-old set to snub Everton.

Mega bucks Chinese Super League sides Jiangsu Suning and Beijing Guoan were also said to be interested in offering the free agent a £100,000-a-week deal but the former Reading star - who is a free agent - looks all set to join the Tigers.

Watford, Swansea and Burnley were also interested in the forward who has been a revelation with Wales.

The Tigers are also weighing up moves for Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy and West Brom defender James Chester in light of Moses Odubajo suffering a dislocated knee in a friendly at Grimsby Town.

Hull are now awaiting news of a scan to reveal the extent of Odubajo’s injury.

Bordeaux centre-back Ludovic Sane is another potential target for the Tigers who could also be interested in signing Crystal Palace’s out of favour goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

Hull boss Steve Bruce reportedly sees the Palace custodian as the ideal replacement for Allan McGregor who has a back injury and is out until November.

Bruce had been linked with the England job but Sam Allardyce is now a red-hot 1-3 favourite to be named Roy Hodgson’s successor.

In the Championship, Sheffield Wednesday have joined the race to land Blackburn Rovers centre-half Grant Hanley.

However, the Owls face competition from Newcastle United and Norwich City with Blackburn holding out for a fee of around £8m.

The Magpies have already had several smaller bids for the 24-year-old rejected.

As far as Leeds United are concerned, Fleetwood Town right-back Conor McLaughlin appears the most likely name to become the Elland Road club’s seventh signing of the summer.

The Whites are also interested in both NEC winger Anthony Limbombe and Sunderland’s former Whites loanee Liam Bridcutt though progress in pursuit of those deals has become slow.

In other gossip, Huddersfield Town’s former striker Ishmael Miller is being linked with a move to Wigan Athletic while Rotherham United have reportedly made enquiries about Leicester City defender Liam Moore and Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey.

The Millers signed former Crystal Palace and Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Lewis Price on a two-year-deal at the weekend.

But Rotherham’s interest in Millwall top scorer Lee Gregory looks to have ended after the club had three bids rejected.

In League One, Sheffield United are considering a move for Bury’s former Sheffield Wednesday striker Leon Clarke while Liam Agnew is hoping to use this week’s training camp in Scotland to convince Bradford City he is worth a permanent deal.

In League Two, Doncaster Rovers are being heavily linked with a move for midfielder Paul Green who has been released by Rotherham and who has been training with Rovers.

And in the National League, former Crawley Town and Brentford defender Lanre Oyebanjo has been linked with a return to York City.
