Josh Cullen is set for a return to Bradford City on loan and a deal is expected to be completed today.

The Bantams had been desperate to re-sign the West Ham midfielder, but it was feared that the 20-year-old would only be sent out to a Championship club to further aid his development.

But a move now appears to have been sanctioned back to Bradford, with Cullen - who made 17 appearances in an impressive spell at Valley Parade last term - expected to join until January.

Cullen may make his ‘second debut’ in the EFL Cup tie at Accrington tomorrow.

Chris Wilder says Sheffield United are under “no pressure” to sell Che Adams, but the Blades chief has indicated he will give the green light to his exit if he asks for a move.

Birmingham City are set to table a third bid for Adams this week after seeing bids worth £1.2m and £1.7m rebuffed.

Wilder, speaking after Saturday’s loss to Bolton, said: “Nothing has happened. Nothing that I’ve been told.

“There’s no pressure for me to sell, for us to sell. But when Premier League and Championship clubs call and players maybe think about it or are interested in it, you’re in that situation.”

Middlesbrough are closing in on a move for Cardiff City defender Fabio da Silva

The former Manchester United player was left out of Cardiff’s squad for the goalless draw with Birmingham on Saturday.

Bluebirds’ manager Paul Trollope said: “The timing wasn’t great for us but hopefully there will be a resolution. There has been an interest from another club and that was the reason he was left out.”

There is understood to be a release clause in Da Silva’s contract believed to be in the region of £2 million.

Hull City are interested in signing Emiliano Martinez on loan, with the 23-year-old Argentine keeper spent a short spell at Rotherham United in 2015.

The Tigers are looking for a goalkeeper in the wake of the injury suffered by first-choice custodian Allan McGregor.

Martinez spent a loan spell at Wolves last season.
