The Millers have already brought in Cardiff City defender Semi Ajayi on loan for the rest of the season and are close to finalising another signing and Warne expects an additional three targets to arrive - a defender on a full-time basis, a striker and a winger - before 11pm tomorrow evening.

Warne, who confirmed that the Millers are not the club to have tabled a fresh offer for Omar Bogle, with reports in Grimsby stating that a Championship side had made a new bid to sign the in-demand forward, said: “Realistically, I reckon I have probably another three coming in.

“I think I need another defender, striker and ideally, a wide man. I need competition in places.”

Warne says that he remains confident, as it stands, that Danny Ward will still be at the club at the end of the transfer window.

One or two other players could leave the club tomorrow.

Defenders Almen Belaid and Darnell Fisher will miss tomorrow night’s game at Nottingham Forest with hamstring injuries.

Belaid will be out for 10 to 14 days with Fisher sidelined for two to three weeks.
