Jack Muldoon and Mark Beck both netted twice to send unbeaten Harrogate Town into second place with a 4-0 home win over Eastleigh.
Simon Weaver’s men were not at their fluent best but still had more than enough to go on and record a comfortable win.
The hosts were gifted the lead after 25 minutes. Liam Agnew pinched a pass from goalkeeper Graham Stack and was sent sprawling as he attempted to go past. Muldoon was, however, perfectly placed to tap home.
Less than 60 seconds into the second half, the advantage was doubled and the ball was deflected into the path of Muldoon who scored his second.
Agnew hit the post in the 71st minute but Joe Leesley slid a pass in behind for substitute Mark Beck to race onto and slot home. Beck then met George Thomson’s cross and planted a header into the bottom corner.
