O'Connor doubt as Robins seeks instant response

Scunthorpe United vBarnsleychampionship

BARNSLEY striker Garry O'Connor is a major doubt for tonight's trip.

The Scottish international, who is on a three-month loan deal from Birmingham City, was due to have an injection in a groin problem.

O'Connor missed the last six months of last season with groin and hip problems and came off during Barnsley's 3-0 weekend defeat at Reading – his third game in 12 days.

Manager Mark Robins will be without defender Jay McEveley (bruised foot).

The Tykes have not won away since February and Robins was furious with Saturday's display.

"We let our supporters down at the weekend. They travelled a long way and those are the people we play for. We have to put things to rest away before it becomes a major issue."
