Peterborough v Rotherham United: Millers made to wait over Thomas-Moore

ROTHERHAM United manager Ronnie Moore is still waiting to bring his son, Ian Thomas-Moore, to Don Valley Stadium.

The former Leeds United striker, 33, has submitted a transfer request at Tranmere Rovers but manager Les Parry will not allow him to leave on a free.

"He tells us he's been made an offer from another club, and I don't know who that club is, with an increase in his salary plus a two-year contract," said Parry.

"I understand his actions, he has a family and wants some security for his last few footballing years. Whether he stays here or not, I don't know. I certainly won't let him go for nothing."

Millers manager Moore, meanwhile, said: "If Tranmere are willing to let him go, I think we'll be favourites to sign him. There's no doubt he wants to come here."

With Tom Pope and Ryan Taylor ruled out for the next month with broken metatarsals, the Millers are currently short of attacking options.

On-loan defender Exodus Geohaghon, meanwhile, is ineliglble for tonight's Carling Cup game against his parent club Peterborough United, while Shrewsbury Town have also refused to grant permission for loan defender Dean Holden to be involved.

Last six games: Peterborough DLLLWW, Rotherham DLWWLW.
