Jack Cork headed home an 84th-minute winner after Jay Rodriguez had cancelled out Barry Nicholson’s opener for the hosts.

Clarets chief Eddie Howe said: “I’m absolutely delighted. This was always going to be a tough game, it was never going to be pretty but we did the nasty bits right.It was a really professional performance and I thought the two centre-halves were fantastic.

“We showed really good character to come from behind and it’s another performance that really pleases me. The second goal was a really good move, a fantastic ball from Wade Elliot and Jack Cork attacked it where boots were flying.
