Ingram: Little to do on the night, but still beaten twice. 6

Emmanuel: Terrific surge and play down the right set up a great early chance to level for Wilks that was wasted. 6

Greaves: Unwittingly diverted into his own net under pressure from a high boot from Raggett. Controversial moment. 5

Burke: Had his hands full with Marquis, with Pompey threatening from set-plays too. 6

Elder: Saw his deflected cross palmed away in the nick of time by MacGillivray and produced some decent deliveries. Williams and Harness kept him busy at the other end. 6

Slater: Did not impose himself in the first period with Pompey dominating the midfield for fair spells. Had Hull's first shot on target, which was a tame one. 5

Smallwood: Was put in the shade by Naylor and Cannon who were integral forces for Pompey. 5

Docherty: Quiet, much like all those in amber and black. Set up Magennis' late chance. 6

Wilks: Forced to drop deep at times to collect the ball. Should have levelled early on and saw Cannon get in the way of his scorching drive. Did not get much change out of Pompey’s backline. 6

Magennis: Found a central defender in Raggett who was up for the fight. Found the net - at the wrong end and his luckless night was summed up when he headed against the bar late on. 5
