Rotherham will pay Hibs a compensation fee of around £120,000 for the services of the 44-year-old, who recently led the Edinburgh outfit to Scottish Cup glory.

Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs lifts the cup after winning the William Hill Scottish Cup Final, at Hampden Park, Glasgow. He is now the new manager of Rotherham United.

Stubbs will be unveiled to the press at around midday tomorrow.

Millers chairman Tony Stewart said: “You dot the i’s and cross the t’s and we’ve done it, that’s the main thing.

“We are obviously pleased and think we have got a good catch. He wanted it and we wanted it and it’s a lovely marriage.”
