Rotherham United are in talks with Billy Jones and Lewis Price about staying at the club for next season's return to the Championship.

The Millers have announced they will release Julien Lamy and Laurence Bilboe after winning promotion from League One, and they have triggered a 12-month option in young striker Jerry Yates's contract, but the futures of Jone and Price are still to be resolved.

They too are out of contract next week, but the club hope to persuade them to stay.

Winger Lamy's only league appearances last season came from the bench, three times, while academy product Bilboe has not featured in any competition. Their departure leaves 21 players on Rotherham's retained list.

Players under contract who will remain at the club: Joe Mattock, Shaun MacDonald, Adam Thompson, Richard Wood, Kyle Vassell, Ben Wiles, Jamie Proctor, Freddie Ladapo, Clark Robertson, Jamie Lindsay, Matt Crooks, Trevor Clarke, Chiedozie Ogbene, Michael Ihiekwe, Matt Olosunde, Curtis Tilt, Michael Smith, Joshua Kayode, Jake Cooper, Jacob Gratton, Jerry Yates.

Players out of contract and subsequently leaving Rotherham United: Julien Lamy, Laurence Bilboe.
