Rotherham United v Huddersfield Town - Terriers are up for a battle

The 21-year-old has played in Huddersfield’s last two league games, making his Championship debut from the bench against Brentford before getting his first start in last week’s 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

He is in line to make his third league appearance for the club at Rotherham as Christopher Schindler looks set to lose the race to be fit for the derby contest.

Only one point separates the sides after three games and Crichlow-Noble is anticipating a physical battle.

“It is going to be a war,” he said.

“I watched a lot of Rotherham last year and they are a very physical team.

“They can play but when it gets tough they are ready to battle. I am ready for it, we are all ready for it.”

Huddersfield’s first win has given the squad a lift in training but Crichlow-Noble insists there is no time to relax.

After a challenging set of fixtures to start the season, six points from a possible 12 would represent a decent start for the Terriers.

“It has added an extra step to everyone,” added Crichlow-Noble of last week’s win.

“The first three points are big and for it to come against Forest, that is a big result. We know we can’t relax. We need to go again and get another three points.

“We have enjoyed the three points but it is time to move onto the next game.”

The defender signed an extended one-year deal with Huddersfield in the summer, with the club retaining the option of an extra year.

Crichlow-Noble is glad to see his hard work rewarded by Carlos Corberan, who, after working as manager of Leeds United’s Under-23s, likes to put faith in the club’s younger players.

He said: “For him to trust the young players like myself, it is a big confidence boost.

“We feel like we are being rewarded for the hard work we are putting in.

“My main thing is to play as many games as possible and help the team get as many points as possible.”
