The Millers beat the Imps at home on the first day of the season and are now third in the League Two table following Saturday's 1-0 away win at Hereford United.

"It is an opportunity to mix it with League One clubs and there's a nice prize at the end of the line," he said.

"We know Lincoln won't be pushovers but we want to try and go as far as we can in this competition."

The Millers will be selling tickets for the next league game against Burton Albion tonight after finally securing a facility to sell tickets from their temporary Don Valley base.

Commercial director Steve Coakley said: "Following a meeting that the chairman and I had with the Supporters Trust, this was a suggestion that was made on improving access to ticketing purchases for future home fixtures."
