Crewe Alexandra v Rotherham United: Millers earn early reward for work ethic

Rotherham United chairman Tony Stewart has praised his club for the encouraging start they have made to the League Two campaign.

Andy Scott’s men are top of the nascent table after two wins from two and head to second-bottom Crewe Alexandra tonight looking to strengthen that position.

“It is appreciated that it is very, very early days, just two league games into the season, but you have to say that the signs are very encouraging,” said Stewart.

Millers striker Gareth Evans, who scored twice on his full debut at Plymouth, began as a trainee at Gresty Road.
