FT Aldershot 2 Rotherham United 2: Play-off dream over for 10-man Millers

Ten-man Rotherham United saw their faint play-off hopes end with a draw at Aldershot in League Two.

Veteran defender Richard Naylor returned from injury this week and was named on the bench. Michael Raynes was still absent with a hamstring injury. Defender Troy Brown, who is on loan at Aldershot from the Millers, is ineligible.

Gareth Evans opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 11 minutes, before Sam Hoskins added a second on the half hour mark.

In between the hosts were level, Peter Vincenti on target for Aldershot before Guy Madjo equalised for a second time on 56 minutes.

The Millers were forced to see out the final eight minutes after Tom Newey was red carded after two bookings.

Jordan Roberts joined Newey moments later as both sides were reduced to 10 men.

The draw leaves Rotherham five points off the play-offs with one game remaining.
