Millers chief looking for home comforts

The Millers face a big game at the bottom of the table against Millwall on the AESSEAL New York Stadium tomorrow with a home game against Cardiff following that.

Next month, Evans’s side also visit Huddersfield and welcome Wigan.

Despite suffering three losses in five games in February, the Millers, three points above third from bottom Millwall, still have momentum according to Evans, regardless of back-to-back away defeats to Watford and Wolves.

Evans, who confirmed that all talk with out-of-contract players will be on hold until the club know what division they are in next season, said: “It was always going to be a tough run for us when you look at the run of games we have had when we have had to play the likes of Ipswich Town, Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves and Watford.

“They would always have been diffIcult games at any stage of the season.

“We are still in a good position compared to where we could have been. We have just been through a period where we have played four out of six away from home against top-class opposition.

“Now we have an opportunity to balance that back with five out of seven at home and we have to deal with it.”

Tomorrow’s game comes just a little too early for Lee Frecklington, who has had several days back in training this week.
