Millers relishing double challenge as they plan to keep heads above relegation zone

Victory over the third-from-bottom Latics would have moved Steve Evans’s side 12 points clear of them, but a 2-1 defeat has left them with plenty of work still to do.

History is not in Millers’ favour ahead of the short trip this evening, with Forest boasting a 17-match unbeaten streak against them, a run which stretches back to September, 1956.

Less than 72 hours later, the Millers must negotiate a derby with Sheffield Wednesday, but Raynor says they will be embracing both occasions.

Nottingham-born Raynor, who started his career at Forest, confirmed that Rotherham may again raid the loan market before the 5pm deadline on March 26 and said: “There’s no panic and we aren’t getting flustered by the situation. We have that belief as a team and a unit and we are not frightened of Forest.

“We will also look forward to the challenge of a derby on Saturday. These sort of games are fantastic and we are enjoying it and embracing the experience and want lots more.”
