Millers will not panic, says Moore

ROTHERHAM United manager Ronnie Moore has called for greater consistency from his players ahead of today’s game with Crewe Alexandra.

The Millers have suffered four defeats in their last six games and are now in danger of losing their grip on a top three spot in the League Two promotion race.

“We just can’t get the consistency to establish ourselves as a top three club,” said Moore. “It’s crazy and it frustrates me. But there are still four or five clubs who will all think they have got a chance and those top two spots are still not done and dusted.”

“There’s no panic,” stressed Moore. “There are a lot of sides at our level who are inconsistent. We’ve hardly been out of the top three all season and we have got 20 matches left. We took 41 points in the first half of the season – and that’s the consistency we are going to need for the remainder of the year.”

Today’s opponents Crewe have been moving up the league table in recent weeks, winning five of their last eight games under long-serving manager Dario Gradi.
