New deal for Millers keeper Collin

ROTHERHAM UNITED goalkeeper Adam Collin has signed a one-year extension with the Millers, to keep him at the club until 2016.

The former Carlisle United custodian has overcome the challenge of Scott Loach to become a Championship regular and has now been rewarded.

He said: “It’s gone really well since I have joined and now I am really glad to get another year under my belt and hopefully push on from here.

“I moved in the summer, adapted to the area, and everything is going as well as it could.

“I came in as a number two to Shears, but I passed him and cemented my place in the team. The Gaffer brought Scott in during the summer to add to the competition but I’ve fought hard and been lucky enough to keep my place.

“I was disappointed to get left out after Bolton, but I had a chat with the Gaffer we expressed our views in the right way, he makes the decisions and stuck to his word of putting me back in and I’ve done what I can to keep that shirt now and I just want to show what I can do in this league.”
