Plymouth 1 Rotherham United 4: Evans and Alf at the double for Millers

Rotherham United returned from the long trek down to Plymouth in League Two with all three points.

Defender Troy Brown was available again for the Millers after missing the Carling Cup on international duty - but Michael Raynes kept his place after stepping into the breach. Injured Marcus Marshall missed out but Lewis Grabban recovered from a midweek knock.

The Pilgrims handed a debut to former Millers’ loanee Will Atkinson who has arrived on loan from Hull City.

And it was the former Hull man who opened the scoring at the start of the second half to give Plymouth the lead.

But the lead lasted just four minutes when former Bradford City striker Gareth Evans pounced to equalise, before putting Rotherham in front on 59 minutes.

Adam Le Fondre added two lates goals for Rotherham.
