Rotherham United 2 Shrewsbury 2: Nardiello celebration cut short at the end
Nardiello, who had celebrated the birth of his daughter earlier in the week, scored Rotherham’s second equaliser.
But he was then shown the red card after the final whistle when he demanded to know from referee Dean Whitehouse why he had been booked earlier.

Hide AdRotherham had still managed to maintain their unbeaten start to the new League One season.
The visitors had taken the lead when Jon Taylor headed home Paul Parry’s cross.
The Millers, who had not won any of the past 10 meetings between the clubs, equalised when Matt Tubbs’s knock down enabled Alex Revell to strike home from 18 yards but Tom Bradshaw’s tap-in restored Shrewsbury’s lead.
Substitute Nardiello then headed home Ben Pringle’s free-kick to level things.

Hide AdRotherham chief Steve Evans, whose first game in charge was a 2-1 defeat at Shrewsbury in April 2012 – just Revell and Ben Pringle from Saturday’s side featured in that game for the Millers – was unhappy with his side’s start, saying: “I thought they had a man extra all over the pitch today.
“I think they were the better team in the first half, I didn’t think we started properly. We just went long at every opportunity.
“But in the second half we got back in the game with a great strike from Revell and their second goal seemed offside to me.
“It was a great header by Nardiello and we flashed a number of opportunities just wide and should have won the game.”
