The England Under-20 defender’s initial one-month’s loan expires over the international break, with Millers chief Neil Redfearn having made it clear they want to extend the left-back’s stay.

The 20-year-old, who spent an impressive season-long loan at League One outfit Swindon Town last season, has featured five times for the Millers.

On whether he will grant an extension, Canaries boss Neil said: “They have requested a loan extension.

“So I will sit down during the international break and decide what is best for both the player and the club.”

Meanwhile, Redfearn is currently putting two free agents with international and Championship experience through their paces in training as he seeks to boost his squad.

The Millers headed into the break on the back of a damaging 5-2 home loss to Ipswich Town, which left them at the foot of the Championship table, five points adrift of safety.
